Top of Dog's Nail is Pulled/Bent back all the way, but still hanging on. Besides $100 vet visit what can i do?

The top of my Dog's Nail is Pulled/Bent back all the way (the nail above the quick), but it is still hanging on at the part that connects to the fir. The quick is not bleeding, its black (instead of pink). But the top part of the nail is just hanging on and hurts my dog when it gets pushed.


I wont have money to take him to the vet for another week or so.

If its black, it is bleeding. Under the nail, blood goes black. Try a band aid to stop it being pushed back and keep his walks to a minimum.
