ok i get fills and full sets to and what the gel does is it makes the polish not chip and look brand new...i asked the nail salon y they charge 5 $ extra but they said it stays on...dont let it trick u because wen i got my gel on it started to chip off...well thanks for listening and have a perfect day...good luck...
its a uv top coat is all...its supposed to help the polish to stay on longer and as well for those that may tan it helps prevent the nails from yellowing, but most of the time its just for that ONLY
The only difference I noticed was that they were smoother looking and brighter.
