My rabbit as a ingrown toe nail. Is it safe to cut it just the top where its out grown?

My Rabbit as got a ingrown toe nail is it safe to just cut the tip of it or just go to the vets with it because it seems silly to do just go to the vets for a ingrown toe nail or is it not safe to do it yourself? My rabbit as a ingrown toe nail. Is it safe to cut it just the top where its out grown?
It can be very hard to do it yourself. You will need a pair of Dog nail clippers, rather than scissors. If cut in the wrong place you may cut the ';Quick'; the alive part of the nail. Often the hardest part of clipping an Ingrown nail is actually getting the clips around the nail. If you manage to,just take a *Tiny* part off the nail, then take a little more off,as a precaution. Have some Flour handy,as this will help to stop the bleeding,if there is any! =) If you are unsure then go to the vets,it is free normally in case you were wondering!

Hope this helps, xxxMy rabbit as a ingrown toe nail. Is it safe to cut it just the top where its out grown?
I would strongly recommend that you take Your Rabbit to a vet.
if you are worried then i would recommend getting the vets to do it it wasn't to expensive when i got my hamsters done so i don't really know about a rabbit,

Good luck
if you never have cut a ingrown toe nail then dont. just take it to the vet
Do it yourself, but be careful............he or she will let you know if you mess up.......for sure.
